THERE ARE NO SUBSTITUTIONS IN THIS KIT!Skill Level: Advanced BeginnerThe pattern recommends 4-1/2 yards of fabric for the backing of this quilt assuming a standard 43/44 width fabric along with a 78 x 78 piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or for fabric design matching. BACKING FABRIC AND BATTING ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS KIT.A little over 7-1/2 yards of fabric is included in the kit along with the pattern.
